About Matt & Sierra

God brought us from brokenness to sonship. Even though it was difficult to embrace the pain in our lives, as we did, we actually experienced Father’s love in the ministry room. We knew for the first time what it felt like to be legitimate and deeply loved. It was amazing. Right then we knew we wanted to help walk others into healing and a restored life—a life truly filled with experiencing joy and peace.

You could describe our family with one sentence: We love life. We enjoy hanging out with friends, spending days on the lake boating or fishing, or simply enjoying dinner together. In fact, we enjoy entering into whatever Father brings our way.

In recent years we have been on an adventure of bringing healing and community in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Taipei, and at home in Redding, California. Whether at home or abroad, our hearts are to help individuals, couples, and families experience life to its fullest.

Our Ministry Connection

Having friends and a community who share the same values and healing experience is very important to us. Ministering with Sonship Events has been an enriching connection for us. We believe in a holistic community-based ministry that brings healing, learning to hear God’s voice, and receiving Father’s love. Our initial experience with healing was with Restoring the Foundations (RTF). What a gift from God. We immediately saw how thorough and comprehensive the integrated approach to biblical healing ministry was and pursued extensive training in 2007.  We’ve been ministering to others in our church, community, and around the world ever since.  We love the results and we love being a part of God’s powerful healing movement.

Distinctives

Our hearts are for families and celebrating each life. We are parents of five beautiful daughters living at home and understand a Dad’s and Mom’s desire to see their children experience a loving, peace filled home.

What happens in the family impacts our entire life:  our home, our work, our communities.

We encourage you to intentionally prepare for ministry. Being transparent and honest as you prepare touches the pain but that’s a good thing. It will allow you to bring your whole heart to God. He wants to heal you. We have discovered that being intentional about preparing reaps the greatest healing. If you need help, we have pioneered a unique and powerful ministry preparation experience. It will help you understand the ministry process and prepare your heart to fully participate in each and every aspect to receive all that God has for you.
